Now, one person can easily balance a CDK on the L-Series mounts using the Ascend accessory! The Ascend can attach to either the front or rear of the #200919 Dovetail Clamp and precisely slide the CDK forward or back for accurate balance. Ascend uses a long pushrod to safely balance in the mount’s declination/altitude axis with the turn of a bolt.

The EFA (Electronic Focusing Accessory) control box can be mounted to the back plate of any PlaneWave telescope OTA (12.5 through 24 inches). The EFA Kit reads the primary mirror and ambient temperature sensors.The EFA controls the fan systems that are built into each telescope.

A Hand Controller is provided to control an optional Focuser or Rotator when standing at the eyepiece. The EFA kit comes with PlaneWave Interface (PWI4), a software package that controls all EFA functions from a PC. Cables and adapters are provided to attach the EFA kit to a PC. The EFA kit is ASCOM compatible.

This item is included with the EFA KITs (125901-KIT and 240901-KIT).

This 2.75-2″ visual adapter slides into the Hedrick Focuser that comes standard on the CDK12.5.

The IRF90 to 2″ Visual Accessory Adapter allows you to attach a 2″ mirror diagonal and eyepiece to your IRF90 rotating focuser.  Used in conjunction with other PlaneWave adapters to space your eyepiece at the optimal position for your CDK model.

The back plate on all of the CDK models has four mounting positions for a finder mounting plate.

• The finder mounting plate attaches to the back plate of the telescope and the quick-release finder bracket attaches to the mounting plate.
• If the telescope is used on a German Equatorial mount it may be convenient to purchase two finder scopes, one for the east and one for the west side of the telescope.

The main purpose of the OAG is to use the same optical path as the main camera. This avoids the problem of differential deflection that can occur when using a separate optical system for guiding. This method provides more accurate guiding and sharper images.

QHYOAG includes a precision 1.25-inch helical focuser that accepts our QHY5II and QHY5III cameras. The focusing process is comfortable. After focusing, you can lock the focus mechanism with thumbscrews.

QHYOAG has three models. The major difference is its different diameter. The three model are QHYOAG-S,QHYOAG-M,QHYOAG-L. QHYOAG is a thin and solid design. The OAG main body is just 10mm thick. Adding an M42 thread or M54 adapter ring adds only 3mm for a total thickness of 13mm. There are six 3mm through holes in the OAG for direct connection to the QHYCFW and QHY A Series cameras

There is a focuser in the QHYOAG. It is for the focus adjustment of the guider. There is a thumb to lock the position. When focusing please loose this thumb. After focusing get well, lock it. Please do not move the focus ring when in lock status to avoid the damage. When it is locked, you will still find the focus ring can be rotate a little. This is normal and the focus is not changing.
The light patch hole of the QHYOAG is 7mm for the guider camera.

The QHY411/461 has both USB3.0 and 2*10GigaE interfaces. The 2*10GigaE version supports a higher readout speed.

QHY411/QHY461 have both mono and color version. The application of this camera includes astronomy imaging, astronomy photography, space object survey, satellite tracking, etc.

Benefiting from its back-illuminated pixel structure, the QHY411 has a large full well of 80ke-. And when using 2 * 2 binning, the full well can reach 320ke-, corresponding to a merged pixel size of 7.5um * 7.5um; while at 3 * 3 binning, the full well can be up to 720ke- with a large pixel size of 11um * 11um, which is much larger than any other CCD or CMOS sensor of the same pixel size. Combined with the low readout noise,  the camera has a large dynamic range advantage.

QHY5III174M/C uses a 1/1.2-inch, 2.3 Megapixel, SONY Exmore IMX174 CMOS sensor with global shutter.  Available in both monochrome and color. The large sensor size is a great choice for solar imaging and the large pixel size and high QE makes it excellent for deep-sky imaging as well.  Typical of all models in the QHY5III Series, this camera produces a high frame rate with the USB 3.0 interface, 138 frames per second at full resolution, up to 490 FPS at selected ROI.

The new CFW3 series filter wheels are available in four sizes to accommodate filters from 1.25-inch to 50 millimeters square.

For filter wheel control a custom QHY 4-pin filter wheel port is included that provides power and control signals for QHY dual control filter wheels like the series 3 filter wheels.  Both the series 2 and new series 3 filter wheels can be controlled by either an independent external program using the filter wheel’s USB port or via the QHY 4-pin serial port. When connected to the QHY 4-pin port there is no need for an additional power cable or control program.  All of the filter wheel functions are controlled through the camera and its operating Software.

The series 3 filter wheels utilize a new motor with direct drive and will reverse direction to take the shortest path when moving from one filter to another. For Example, in this demonstration the wheel moves from filter position 1 to position 2 to position 3 and then back to 1 again, over to position 7 and back to position 1 without ever making a complete rotation of the carousel.  This saves time if you’re doing a lot of filter changes in one imaging session.

LED changes color for each filter position.  The tricolor LED assigns one unique color or combination of colors to each filter position so you can tell if it’s moved to the correct position without removing it from the Telescope.

The CFW3 is also thin.  This feature and the short back focus of the COLDMOS cameras means you can add one of several camera lens adapters for Canon and Nikon camera lenses for wide field imaging with the filter wheel.

In the center of the back plate is a 12-volt DC power port.  This port is threaded for a short extension cable that is supplied with the camera that securely attaches such that it will not accidentally disconnect while you are imaging.

The adapter bolts to the Apogee Alta camera body or an FW filter wheel and bolts to the PlaneWave Secure Fit CCD Spacer for a solid secure mounting.

This 0.25″ long adapter presents 2″-24 TPI male thread on the camera facing side and PlaneWave SecureFit bolt pattern on the telescope facing side. This adapter can also be used on a CDK12.5 if the SecureFit CCD spacer is used, but this spacer cannot bolt onto the 2.75″ Hedrick Focuser.

• This is an L-shaped bracket that attaches in four different places on the back of any of the CDK models.
• This is used to mount a finderscope or some other accessory.
• Two 1/4-20 screws provided attach the bracket to the backplate of the telescope and two 10-32 threaded holes spaced at 1.450″ can be used to mount accessories too.

This is a reducer designed specifically for flat field telescopes like the CDK. This reduces the f/ratio of the CDK telescope 66% and creates a 30mm illuminated field. The CDK12.5 f/8 telescope will be reduced down to f/5.3.

This lens group is designed to convert a CDK20 f/6.8 to f/7.77. The original lens group is unscrewed from the backplate of the optical tube and replaced with the new lens group.

• Adds 1.79″ of back focus to the optical tube for those requiring additional imaging train components.
• Increases focal length to 3951mm, which is an additional 497 mm of focal length compared to the standard CDK20 f/6.8.

This reducer is specifically crafted for telescopes with a flat image field, such as CDKs, reducing the aperture ratio to 66% for faster imaging and enhanced optical performance.

The PW1000 reducer takes the native f/6 system down to f/4.25.

• With the reducer installed users have 6.516″ of remaining available backfocus for instrumentation
• Increase the flexibility of the 1-meter system by installing a reducer on one Nasmyth port for f/4.25 – 4,250mm focal length and keep the other port at f/6 – 6,000mm focal length.

This Mounting Bracket is required for mounting the EFA to the CDK700.

This 0.25″ long adapter presents 3″-24 TPI male (SCT thread) on the camera facing side and PlaneWave SecureFit bolt pattern on the telescope facing side. Compatible with the 600337. Commonly used to with FLI filterwheels that have 3″-24 TPI female treads, or the 600377 to secure SBIG AOX and SBIG SC-3 guider to PlaneWave SecureFit bolt pattern.

• This adapter bolts to PlaneWave 7.125″ flanges and presents SecureFit bolt pattern.
• Works with CDK14, CDK17, CDK20, CDK24, CDK700, and RC700 telescopes.
• Also works with DeltaRho 350 optical tubes that have the Series-5 Focuser, or Rotator installed.
• Occupies 0.25″ of backfocus.

This 1/2″ long SecureFit Extender attaches to a SecureFit CCD spacer to add 1/2″ of spacing to an optical path.  The extenders are stackable so if you need an extra 1.5″, then you need three SecureFit extenders.

This 1/4″ long SecureFit Extender attaches to a SecureFit CCD spacer to add 1/4″ of spacing to an optical path.  The extenders are stackable.

This 0.25″ long adapter presents M92 x 1 male on the camera facing side and PlaneWave SecureFit bolt pattern on the telescope facing side.

• SecureFit to Monster-MOAG, or Optec Sagitta OAG, adapter.
• This adapter takes up 0.55″ of spacing.
