2022 Campus Open House and Science Expo

Take a trip beyond the stars

Take a trip “Beyond the Stars” at PlaneWave’s Campus Open House and Free Science Expo!

October 1-2, from 11 AM-6 PM
PlaneWave Campus (1375 North Main St, Adrian, MI 49221)

Featured events include demonstration booths (focused on telescope assembly, solar systems, and general science) as well as a solar system walk–designed so guests can view the solar system in proper relational size to the sun!

In addition, we will have PlaneWave Talks (much like TED Talks), which will touch on both the past and future of Planewave. Special guests joining us are Rachel Freed from InSTAR who will discuss research and published paper opportunities for high school students and Michelle Nichols from Chicago’s Adler Planetarium and Observatory who will have a meteor booth and conduct our armchair tour of the solar system.

Partnering organizations for this event include: Adrian Center for the Arts, Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute, APG Audio Visual Mentoring, LISD, Jackson College, InSTAR, University of Toledo, Adler Planetarium/Observatory
